The 227th Assault Helicopter Battalion Honor Sword is passed each year to a selected member of our unit to act as the “Keeper of the Sword” until the next reunion. Each “Keeper’s” name is engraved on the sword blade and on the scabbard is engraved the names of the initial organizers of our reunion.
